At the OLED Korea conference last week, LG Display representatives took the stage to talk about their plans for OLED TVs. The Korean brand does not hide that it will start producing 48-inch OLED panels.

If you want great OLED quality but in a smaller form factor, LG Display has answered your requests. Last week it was revealed that LG is planning to release 48-inch OLED TVs, which is a plus for people with small rooms.

LG announced an increase in OLED production earlier this year, and the TV maker announced last week that it plans to sell 10 million OLED TVs in 2021. Perhaps by this decision they want to increase the number of sales.

The 48-inch model will open up new possibilities, not to mention lowering the price of OLED. This is a move that reflects the recent upward trend, as confirmed by Samsung with its larger living room TVs.

It is not yet known when production of small OLED TVs will begin. LG Display was not made clear if they have a prototype or if it is still under development. Since the Korean brand has already announced its lineup for this year, it is safe to assume that the new technology will be rolled out closer to 2020.

LG Display also announced that it will add 65-inch and 77-inch models to its 8th OLED TV lineup, and they will be sold alongside the existing 88-inch OLED TV.
